General : Building Memories on Kerr Lake

When I think of Kerr Lake, I think of......

  • Seeing a grandchild play hours in the sand on the beaches
  • Walking on the shoreline looking for rocks and fresh water shells
  • Having your boat on the shoreline and telling the small kids not to swim pass the boat and years later they are swimming like a champion...
  • Sitting on a boat in the middle of the water, looking at the trees - especially seeing the fall foliage and the new growth of Spring
  • Passing boats on the lake and everyone is waving at - not strangers, but lake friends
  • Looking at the flicker of campfires and smelling the hot dogs cooking
  • Sitting on your dock at night looking for shooting stars and hearing the gentle sound of nature
  • Seeing a child catch his first fish or observing the amateur fisherman catch the "Winner of the Day"
  • Seeing all the sailboats in their bright color or not seeing any boats pass the cove all day
  • Enjoy viewing the resident eagles or the Canadian geese
  • Watching the sun fall into the water or seeing the sunrise from the water
  • Watching the holiday fireworks from your boat on the water but realizing how beautiful the thousands of boat lights are

Kerr Lake is a great place to build your memories and enjoy the quality of life.
